COSCO SHIPPING Orders New Energy Oil Carriers

 COSCO SHIPPING Energy, in collaboration with COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Yangzhou and COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry Dalian, signed contracts in Shanghai, which involves the construction of three 114,000-DWT Aframax green methanol dual-fuel crude oil carriers, two Panamax crude oil carriers (methanol ready), and one MR product/crude oil tanker (methanol ready).

Notably, the 114,000-DWT Aframax green methanol dual-fuel crude oil ship stands at 248.8 meters in length, 44 meters in width, and 21.5 meters in depth, as the first methanol dual-fuel ships to be ordered by COSCO SHIPPING Energy.

The 65K Panamax crude oil tanker measures 224.9 meters in length, 38 meters in width, and 18 meters in depth, while the MR product/crude oil vessel is 182.9 meters long, 32.26 meters wide, and 18.2 meters deep. Both are equipped for methanol Ready for subsequent refit and are capable of burning biofuel simultaneously.
